English Ivy

Bring the Magic of the Outdoors Inside 🌿

The English Ivy (Hedera helix) is a timeless trailing plant with iconic lobed leaves and vigorous growth, perfect for shelves and hanging displays.

Plant Benefits 🌱

• Vigorous Trailing Growth: Produces long vines that create a lush cascading look
• Cooler-Room Friendly: Often prefers cooler indoor temperatures than many tropical houseplants
• Natural Transpiration: Like other living houseplants, releases small amounts of moisture into the surrounding air
• Air-Quality Interest: English ivy has been studied under controlled conditions for uptake of some airborne compounds, though a few houseplants are not a substitute for ventilation or filtration
• Calming Greenery: Cascading foliage adds texture and a softer natural feel to indoor spaces

Care Tips

• Light: Bright, indirect light; tolerates lower light
• Water: Water when the top inch of soil is dry
• Temperature: Prefers cooler temperatures, around 50–70°F
• Humidity: Moderate humidity preferred

Witchy Folklore & Symbolism ✨

In European folklore and modern plant magic, ivy is often associated with protection, loyalty, endurance, connection, and resilience. Its clinging evergreen growth has long made it a symbol of persistence and bonds that endure. These associations are shared as folklore and spiritual symbolism rather than scientific claims.
